Level 1 Obedience Classes for Youngsters - Classes and Instructor To Be Announced

Ages 8-18 welcome. While providing her normal intuitive instructions for our  Basic Level 1 Course,  is tailored for our younger generation.  Pre-Registration is required so call the school for details.

Novice Drop -In

Wednesday Nights 7 - 8  pm * Starting on Wed April 21 Novice Drop-In  has moved to Wednesday evenings each week

Basic clicker drop-in  start 1/5

Ongoing drop-in class for handlers with basic clicker experience. Handlers will work on improving their own clicker skills, as well using these skills to shape practical behaviors needed inside and outside the competition ring.

Ongoing drop-in heeling class working on straight sits, fronts, finishes, circle left & right, fast & slow pace, stands, moving downs and some recalls if time permits. Class appropriate for all levels of competition, competition dogs only. ($5 per dog)

Conformation Classes by Anne Bowes and Berna Welch:

For the experienced handler Every Tuesday from 7:30 - 8:30 pm. This class will utilize the entire facility during this time period. Anne and Berna rotate each week.

Beginners Conformation with Anne Bowes

Time: 6:45 pm to 7:30 pm - Pre-Registration is required for this 4 week course and is limited to 10 dogs

For the beginner interested in learning AKC's newest performance sport. this is an opportunity to have a lot of fun and use the skills your dog already knows along with new skills. Prerequisite completion of Level 2.

Intro to Canine Freestyle
Introductory class to learn the basic skills needed for canine freestyle. Shaping with a clicker and/or luring used to teach basic behaviors. Skills include working on both sides and transitions, spin, weave, and back-up. Other behaviors taught if time permits. Dogs need to be able to work off leash and get along with other dogs. Suited for Level 3 or competition dogs. All dogs must be evaluated prior to class by Instructor.  This is a 4 week class $90 per dog.

Held every other Sunday starting on 1/17

Sunday's 9 - 10 am    

Practice Freestyle drop-in

 
Ongoing practice session for handlers already skilled in freestyle to practice new moves, music or a routine. No instruction. Bring Ipod or CD's, Boom-Box will be set up for use. Call Ann for further info (508)428-0962. cost $15

* Prerequisite: Basic Obedience with a Qualified Instructor.  All breeds are welcome and dogs must be a least 6 months old.

Pre-registration is required,  please call the school for availability. This an AKC sanctioned class and open to all breeds. Please bring a flat or training collar, regular leash (NO FLEXIES), and a dog brush. Small treats are OK

Free Evaluations: appointments are available from 10 am to 5 pm Monday thru Friday
